on death

Then Almitra spoke, saying, "We would ask now of Death."
And he said: You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond; And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honor.
Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?
Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?
For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance

two arguing about poverty

Whilst I sat in the cafe drinking coffee, I over heard two fellows arguing about poverty. And in truth I could not help but overhear them, As they sat at the next table to me.

The older of the two a silver gray haired fellow Said to rid the World of want and poverty. We would need to depose every despotic leader..

But the younger bloke with him did not agree.. He said in so called wealthy societies there's want and hunger. And where affluence is poverty too abound. From here you don't walk far to see poor people. For poverty is everywhere around.

The older bloke countered but this is a free Country. And those in poverty have themselves only to blame and if hungry people in our midst are living, do not expect me to feel any shame

The younger man again with him did differ, Saying want is caused by those who only care for themselves alone and their own self interest. Many must grow poorer for to make one millionaire.

I left them there in the cafe to argue, And not for me to say who is wrong or right
For both of them looked well dressed and well fed fellows
And they won't go to bed hungry tonight... :)

kenapa menulis?

disuatu sore teman gw bertanya:
lo kenapa suka nulis sih? kenapa buat blog?

terjawab?:)

fate-destiny-choice or whatever

I believe in Fate. Fate is what causes events to happen and brings people to meet. It is something we have little control over. We can always choose where to go or appear, but we wouldn’t have a clue what would happen or the people we get to meet when we’re there.
However, I choose not to believe in Destiny. There are those who lament they’re not meant to successful. They say that they’re destined to fail. They postulate that Prime Ministers are “born”, not made. That they need to be “born” with special skills, characteristics and luck. More often than not, they present tons of reasons or rather excuses for themselves. Such as complicated family backgrounds, lack of support or even name a friend’s influence! Firmly, I beg to differ. Simply because there exists such a thing called “Choice”.
Choice is something that accosts us each and every day. Whether we choose a red or white shirt, whether we eat noodles or rice; almost each and everything we do, we have a choice. There’s really no such thing as no choice. It’s just seems so because we sometimes choose the easier way out straight away!
Whilst we are at “Choice”, it can be elementary placed into two main categories. One, those already made and two, those that are yet to be made. A decision of the past is a sunk one. It doesn’t matter anymore if it was right or wrong. What’s done is done! There’s no way to “turn back the clock” as Johnny Hates Jazz suggests. What’s important are those that you can still control, the choices you have yet to make; the decisions that affect your future! That’s the sole reason I can think of why it’s called “Choice” and not “Chosen”.

ingin cerita

people did it

We can smile, breathe, walk, and eat our meals in a way that allows us to be in touch with the abundance of happiness that is available.
We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living.
We know how to sacrifice ten years for a diploma and we are willing to work very hard to get a job, a car, a house, and so on.
But we have difficulty remembering that we are alive in the present moment, the only moment there is for us to be alive...

yes, we did it, in many ways..

a journey..

Happiness is a journey, not a destination..
Since we were very young, we have been taught and conditioned into believing that everything has to have some purpose towards some future which we may .. or may not ever reach

Happiness is now .. where you are, in this moment .. doing what you are doing without worrying about the outcome .. or trying to get away from something.
Are you trying to convince yourself that life will be better after you complete some project .. or that doing this course will make you happy or give you a purpose? Will getting this therapy make you happy?
Patterns have a way of repeating themselves .. and life is a series of patterns!
Living in the moment is not waiting until after you get married, or have one baby .. then another.
One day you'll be frustrated that the kids aren't old enough (but you'll be more content when they are). Then there will be the teenage years to deal with .. do you remember yours? Maybe you'll find happiness when they are out of that stage.
We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our partner gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire.
The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges and changes.
Who promised you that, sometime in the future, life will begin to begin - real life. There always seems to be some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid.
Life embraces these obstacles, envelopes them, flows around them, under them and through them.
